Today I'm going to be talking about are topic, tomorrows world and all the different things we did in it.
Pioneers in technology
At the start of term we learnt about famous people that are related to technology.
The most famous person in computing would most certainly be Steve Jobs the designer of apple products. Although the main brains behind apple is Steve Wozniack. We also learned about Tim Berners Lee (creater of the world wide web) , and Markkus Persson (creater of the xbox)
Coding / Algorithms
Next we did about coding , witch is were you instruct a program to do things, and algorithms , a set of instructions that programs a robot or computer to simple tasks.
Copyright and piracy
Copyright is were someone could download some music or a film for free , but it is illegal to get it for free. When you get a copyright strike you have bought a pirated movie of piece of music.
Blogging
Blogging is were you share different things on the internet for people to see.
Graphics
Graphics are lots of little pixels that form pictures. In the 1900s and the early 2000s the pixels used to be really big and nothing could be a perfect circle.
Jargon busters
A jargon buster is were all the complicated words (related to technology)
are made into into simple definitions.
Morse code
Morse code is a series of long and short beeps that were used in the war to communicate to other troops.
Retro games
We played retro games that were popular in the 80s like frogger, galaga, space invaders and pacman , then we did a review of them.
E-safety
At the start of the term we did about safety on the internet and how we do not let anything get into our computers. We also learnt about what we do if we are cyber bullied.
