Our new topic is Shrek. Tomorrow we are going to Sunderland Empire to watch the musical Shrek. Shrek is an ogre and his only friend is a donkey. He lives in a swamp.
This week is tests. I have done A spelling test,2 reading tests, ESPG test and a maths test. Today is our remembrance assembly I,m showing my artwork and were sining Pack up your trubbles and A long way to Tiperrary. E-safteyBefore we did anything in Tomorrow's World, we learnt about E-safty so we knew to be safe on the computers. We learnt to not accept anything from a stranger. I also learnt to not trust everything we see on the internet. Pioneers in technologyIn our lesson about pioneers in technology we each did a poster about a pioneer in technology. We had to choose from 6 pioneers. Mark Zuckerburg the creator of Facebook, Mark Cerny creator of the playstation, Steve Jobs designer of apple, Steve Wozniak creator of apple, Marcus Person creator of minecraft and Tim Bernes-Lee creator of the world wide web. I did Mark Cerny. Coding and AlgorithmCoding and algorithm was #amazing. Algorithm is a set of instructions given to a computer so it knows what to do. The main command is If•••Then•••. Copyright+PiracyCopyright is the protected way to buy and watch music and videos. Piracy is the unauthorised use or reproduction of another's work. E•g music videos and films. BloggingWithout our topic Tomorrow's world we wouldn't have created our blog. I love my blog I just like telling everyone what i'm doing in school. Our blog is #awesome. GraphicsWe made a poster about how graphics and pixels have changed over the years. When graphics first came out they were really big, now they are really small. I looked at the games Fifa and Need for speed. The graphics have really changed in both of the games especially Fifa. Jargon BustersJargon busters are mini Dictionaries. We used them to tell people what some technical language means. Morse codeMorse code is a code that the English used so the Germans wouldn't know their tactics. A hyphen means a long sound and a dot means a short sound. My name in morse code is: -•- •• • •-• •- -• Retro Arcade GamesRetro arcade games came out in the 80s and are quite popular now. I have had the chance to play Pac-man , Galaga and Frogger. I love them all. The graphics are really big so it makes the games look awesome.
pacmanI enjoyed the game because the graphics make the game look so awesome. You have to collect all the food without bumping into the ghosts. I would give this game 4 out of 5. GalagaI enjoyed the game because it's really hard to complete each stage. You're a space ship and you have to shoot the alien ships. I would give this game 5 out of 5.
This weeks word of the days have been: ponder, scrutinise and ludicrous.
Ponder means to think deeply and carefully about something. E.G. Macbeth pondered how his wife would do such a preposterous thing. Scrutinise means to look at something carefully. E.G. Macbeth scrutinised Macduff's army hiding in the woods. Ludicrous means extremely foolish, out of place and unreasonable. E.G. During one of Shakespeare's most beloved play, Macbeth turned from a hero to a ludicrous man. In English we have been writing scripts for a scene in Macbeth. We have been working in groups and tomorrow we will preform our scene's. My group's scene is when Macbeth visits the witches for the second time. In the scene I am the narrator. Yesterday, We looked at Morse code. It was awesome. Morse code was used in World War 1 and World War 2, they sent messages in short sounds and long sounds, to their country ,so that the enemies couldn't decode their messages.
